What happens on the day:
On arrival you’ll receive a full operations and safety brief from Directing staff. Then its time to transfer to the combat area where the fun really starts! You’ll undertake activities with various scenarios throughout the day. Using a purpose-built infra-red training system, codename “Headhunter”, recruits will use the SA80 style rifle which fires an invisible and safe beam up to 40 meters that eliminates the enemy by hitting sensors located in the helmet. An alarm sounds denoting a casualty and downloads any ammunition remaining in the weapon. Reporting back to the ‘Aid post’ recruits will be electronically re-activated and sent back into action (no sitting around in safe zones) - once they have reloaded their rifle at the electronic ammo dump (ammunition is unlimited during the day).
