With the festive season approaching, an expert has given some tips on possible presents.
Writing in City Guide Magazine, Ellis Whitman said: "It's time to start thinking about buying gifts for your friends and family."
He suggested that golf accessories can make good presents for keen sports fans, while photography-related items may prove a hit with some recipients.
Meanwhile, technology offerings are also put forward as possible presents, as are stationery presents.
In addition, for the more image conscious, fashion items are put recommended.
In other news, a recent blog post in the Province by Dana Gee suggested there are a number of 'dos' and 'don'ts' when selecting a gift for a dinner party host.
She said it is a "bad idea" to take gifts that will require assembly or arrangement, such as a "gigantic bouquet", whereas kitchen items like pie servers can make ideal presents, as can exotic edibles from around the world.
