People seeking a wedding gift for a friend, colleague or family member should glean information from the bride and groom to be, it has been suggested.
According to Millie Bratten, editor in chief of Brides magazine, in situations where there is no registry to choose from, present-seekers should "look to the couple for clues", the Dallas Morning News reports.
The expert went on to say that considerations such as how the couple met should be taken into account when consumers are seeking an appropriate present.
She added: "Do they like to entertain, go camping, drink wine? Factor in their age and stage in life. [Luxury] items are particularly ideal for an older couple with refined tastes."
Recently, a man offered his friend advice concerning his wedding present, suggesting he select something artistic as a nuptial offering that reflected his own taste, the London Free Press reported.
