Teenage star Miley Cyrus has treated herself to a brand new convertible sports car for her upcoming birthday.
According to reports, the singer-songwriter and actress purchased a Mercedes as an early present for her Sweet 16, which is due to take place in November.
A source stated: "Miley wanted special options like parking assist and a cream-coloured leather interior, so she ordered the car early."
The insider added that Cyrus is telling everyone she hopes to get a car as a birthday offering so that when it arrives, she can say it was a surprise from her parents.
Indeed, last month, media reports suggested the star had requested a sports utility vehicle from her father.
The 15-year-old, who comes from Tennessee, had supposedly said: "It's got to be big enough for all my friends and to scare the cars away from me," adding that she wanted something "bad" for the road.
