A fantastic old-style leather-effect ball is covered in a design that uses the images and pages of the old Charles Buchan Football Monthly magazine.
Back in 1951 Britain's first glossy football magazine was the voice of football, cheering up a grey, post-war nation with its integrity and sparkling analysis. At the height of its fame, it sold 100,000 copies a month and was admired by fans and players alike.
Editor Charles Buchan was a legendary English football player, who played for Woolwich Arsenal, leyton, Sunderland and Arsenal between 1909-1928. He scored 258 goals and is the Football League's sixth top goalscorer of all time.
This printed football is a fitting tribute to the golden era of English football -- a reminder of the days when England had a team that could win the World Cup and WAGS were something dogs' tails did!
