This is a truly remarkable little gadget, a portable pen fishing rod that fits in a glove box or even a coat pocket.
It's not "full-size" and you couldn't use it for catching sharks, but at 4ft extended (approx 1.2m), it's definitely useable.

How it works:

The miniaturised reel is fully functional with a switchable ratchet (so you can use it right or left-handed) and line brake/clutch, something of an engineering masterpiece.

The rod is made from aluminium alloy, it has seven fibreglass draws that retract inside the handle for stowage (the reel detaches). A pen-style lid fits on top, giving a total length of just 8". The whole thing comes supplied with 5-lb (2.5kg) breaking-strain line and a spinner hook.
